NASW Statement Regarding the Death of Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones

The National Association of Social Workers is deeply saddened by the tragic and unexpected death of one of our social work leaders, United States Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones (OH-11).  Rep. Tubbs Jones was a champion for issues that have an impact on the social work profession.  Most recently, she was an original co-sponsor of the Dorothy I. Height and Whitney M. Young, Jr. Social Work Reinvestment Act, introduced in February and passed into law last month.
