To Post an Ad
If you would like to post an ad, simply click on Submit Classified for Listing below. The fee to run a Classified Ad is $30 for a 30-day listing. You may pay via credit card (you will be asked for this information after you submit the ad). If you prefer to be invoiced, e-mail your request with your billing information (name and address) to gretchen@naswmn.org. Your ad will not be approved for viewing until payment information has been received. At this time we are only able to accept Visa and MasterCard.
Running an Ad Longer than 30 Days
If you would like an ad to run longer than 30 days, you must e-mail this request to gretchen@naswmn.org. You will be given the option of being invoiced for any listing over 30 days, at the cost of $1/day, or calling the office with your credit card number to pay for the appropriate charges. As the online billing system is set up to only charge for a 30-day ad, all ads posted to run longer than 30 days but not paid past the 30-day mark will be reset to the 30-day period.

Information will be presented regarding the complex nutritional needs in both acute and long term settings of individuals who have sustained brain injury.

“What happened to you? Yesterday you were a cat!”
Presenters: Garrett Sandquist, SLP and April O’Brien, SLP, Bethesda Hospital
This workshop will provide discussion on the nature of common cognitive-communication disorders following brain injury, such as aphasia, dysarthria, apraxia, memory impairments, and impaired social pragmatics. Possible strategies will also be provided to implement to improve interaction with individuals with brain injury.

“TBI and it’s association with Dementia”
Presenter: Thomas Misukanis, Phd, LP, ABPN, MN Clinical and Neuropsychological Associates
Dementia will be defined along with a discussion about cognitive reserve and the cumulative effects of brain injury. Recent research which reflects a relationship between TBI and the early onset of dementia will be reviewed.

“Practical Behavior Strategies for Caregivers”
Presenter: Jodi Greenstein, MSW, LICSW, CBIS, Behavior Services Supervisor, Courage Center
Discussion will focus on behavioral challenges facing caregivers and provision of practical strategies to help address behaviors frequently experienced by individuals following brain injury. Participants will leave the workshop with a “toolbox” full of ideas to help address behaviors in various settings. Participants will also learn how to involve the individual’s team in successfully addressing behavioral concerns.

MN Seminar in Jungian Studies |

The Minnesota Seminar in Jungian Studies
The Minnesota Seminar in Jungian Studies is currently accepting applications from persons wishing to engage in the serious study of Jungian psychology. The seminar is designed for individuals hoping to enrich their lives psychologically, for therapists seeking to enhance their skills analytically, and for those intending to apply for analytic training with the IRSJA (see next paragraph). Drawing on the enormous body of work by Jung and “post-Jungians,” the curriculum is intellectually challenging and stimulating in the rich tradition of depth psychology. The seminar faculty consists of local, national, and international Jungian analysts and experts in related fields.
The Minnesota Seminar in Jungian Studies is also a Training Seminar of the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts (IRSJA), the largest analytic training institute in the United States. Anyone interested in learning more about training in the IRSJA through the Minnesota Seminar is invited to contact Lyn Cowan, Ph.D., the Local Training Coordinator, at lyncowan@comcast.net or 651-452-3999.
Enrollment is limited. Classes are usually held at Macalester College in St. Paul. The seminar dates for 2008-09 are September 13-14, October 11-12, November 8-9, December 13-14, February 14-15, March 14-15, April 4-5, and May 2-3. Saturday classes meet from 9:00 a.m. until noon, and from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday classes meet from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Tuition for the year is $1500. A case colloquium is also available to eligible clinicians in the seminar at a cost of $220 for the year. Financial aid is available on a limited basis for persons with documented need.

The application deadline for 2008-09 is May 31, 2008. A brief interview is required as part of your application. There is a $100 deposit to be paid with the application, which is either applied toward tuition for those accepted into the program or refunded. Applicants who apply before May 5, 2008, are eligible to attend the Eugene Taylor seminar on “The New Jung Scholarship” scheduled for May 10-11, 2008, at Luther Seminary; the cost is $150.
